Will you be parting it? I know the car, sort of. We may be able to get it started... Or not.

I would part it, but I have no where to do it... it is currently registered, but my 79 is in the garage... what do you need Brendan? if the car doesn't need it, you can have it...lol.

It would be interesting to see if it could start - I have gotten lucky before. I am currently collecting 5L blocks.

Sounds like you have fuel pressure so not the relay. Next thing would be the LH. Do you have a timing lite you could clip on the plug wires? Have someone turn the car over ans see if the light strobes. Maybe you can get some local help.

I have a timing light. A couple hours with a charged battery and maybe it would start.

There aren't any 928 specialist here in San Diego, and a porsche service shop would have the car in there for 30 hours looking for a bad ground... which might be all that's wrong with it. I just don't have the dough to spend on diagnosing.

Unless you really need to sell it, throw a wrenching party BB. I'll help. I am no stranger to electrical gremlins.

Haha... how do I go about it? I could offer food/drinks/whatever. I'm sure with a few other people looking at it, someone is SURE to know something...... I'm always home, so whatever time is best for everyone else, I'm up for it!

No green wire, got that confused with your 79. There are two crank sensors, one you found is for some kind of dealer test, but there is a second one that the brains need.
