Why not swap the 944 power train for a 928 power train? Then you'll enjoy having both varieties of front engined porsche

Where are you located? There may be a 4.5 L engine nearby for very little money. I know of a couple in my area. What else, other than the engine, is missing from the 928?

The swap is kind taking a step backward but it would be interesting. If it tickles your fancy, go for it. Just don't expect to get your money back out of it.

I can't imagine being so bored I would do this type of lower power swap.

just buy a 928 engine, for the old models they dont cost that much. Just ask here if someone has a 4.5 litter they would like to sell. or better yet get 4.7 litter.

well my dilemma has been solved....my buddy just loaded her onto a flatbed. so another 6 months or so and she will either be on the road or part of a divorce settlement LOL
