Good to know that the goal of having a higher quality water pump is proceeding. I have not seen or heard anything about the progress of a new pump, other than some vague references....perhaps I missed some information. Thanks for bringing me and others, up to date. When do you expect that we will be able to see/use this pump?

One thing that will be important. Watch your marketing carefully. Try to make sure that your product is made available to all 928 owners. There seems to be some very hard lines "drawn in the sand" in our tiny little world. There are "inventors" of other products that have had this issue "blow up" in their faces and now regret how they proceeded. If all can't get your product equally, your investment in time will not give you the proper returns.

Steve, be reasonable...I say an hour and fifteen.

Seriously...after a thrust bearing failure I'm also interested. Guess that's also the reason I went with the Constantine clamp.

Thanks for your efforts Ed...there is definitely a market for a quality, non block drilling, pump.

At request, I've posted the instructions and the pictures of how to use the tools and do the repair, in a separate thread, so it is easier to find, in the future.

I sincerely hope you guys will never need to do this repair, but there seeems to be a fair amount of blocks that need this done. Takes time, but it is really pretty easy and actually kind of fun to do. The drilling/tapping fixture and the matching inserts made it so nice and ensures that the results will always be good.

Thanks to Steve Hattori, for making this easy.
