What's wrong with fiberglass, my car has a bunch of it!

Whats wrong with fiberglass ??? ....Nothing IF the car is ALL fiberglass !! But when you glue glass to metal many things can happen and MOST of them are BAD. Buying a painted car is a gamble because you have no idea how good the body work and bonding was done and MOST are going to crack lift at the seams. Glass is fine for race cars not so fine for streetcars.

As a current and previous Corvette owner, all I can say is Fiberglass is really not that good, it shrinks, gets brittle and is not the same from two cars built next to each other.

The plastic SMC that they used from the C4 on is WAY better.

You are 150% right on Fiberglass to steel on the street, it is not a long lasting mod from what I have seen, or maybe it was just how it was done, but I have never seen it last for more than a few years.

If you put in marker light delete and add a blower, we might be brothers.
Has anybody ever put a blower on one of Greg's 6.5's?
That would be a bad **** right there.

Maybe they bought euro quarters

Come on...
This car has been hit and repaired. For sale in Miami...look at the pic where it was taken...and look at the guys write up. Overpsray on the battery box...hood looks out of alignment.
Id look it over closely...very

sharp looking car though

Where is all the fiberglass discussion based on, did I miss something in the description?
I know there won't be any on mine, but who says those rear quarters are fiberglass?

And I have to agree with Tony, the setting for the pictures is not the most confidence inspiring

There are some GTS flares out there that are repos in fiberglass, Jim brought this up and I agree it is not a good thing.

You are doing yours right, it is gonna be great Paul.
It will be the kind of shape you walk by and just have to stop and stare.
