928 VS 911

But seriously try and keep the 928 (you will regret not having it!). As mentioned above find a way to make wife happy with any 911,993, boxster or ??? Nothing wrong having two Porsches...
I just read the Cayman S forum... Husband just picked up his GT3, wife goes out puts a deposit down and picks herself up a Cayman S. I'd love to have either of those in my garage.... If you pose the same question to the 911 guys they will likely tell you to dump the 928. So choose wisely.....
Good Luck!

I think the 928 AT is boring too, try a 5 spd 928.
When my wife and I want a convertible, we rent one for a week or a weekend, usually combined with a trip out of town. Just my opinion, but a convertible is a convertible, Mustang or whatever, as long as they are functional, I get about the same experience regardless of the brand.

I'm assuming here that your wife likes your home. Cuz in my observation, wives are generally the primary spouse when it comes to choosing a home.
If my assumption is correct, why don't you go find a house that she doesn't like and see if she'll agree to switch homes because, after all, a house is a house.

OT: Missed you at OCIC! How is the eye?! I hope you are fully healed up by now...Roger too! Man a bad spate of eye problems for the 928 family!

Apples and oranges.
The 911 isn't the machine the 928 is... nor is the 928 the machine the 911 is.
But, you need to have them both, not one or the other.

I look forward to having both at some point... My 911 will be a 996/997 TT though! Anything else in 911 land just does not come close to a GTS (ok, the new 997's are damn fast and I have not driven a PDK one yet, so that might be good too, but as long as there is a TT...I am going that way!)

Rule # 1. Women are to be " OBSCENE" and not heard! Rule # 2. Tell her that there are a lot of wive's out of work. When she wants to know what that meens. Tell her she can be an "X".

Let's see - a 911 that scares you when you drive just a little faster than normal, or a 928 that is boring at a lot faster than normal...
Perhaps she would find it more exciting if she really tried to find the limits on the 928. It's sometimes too easy to find them on the 911...
