A simple hand pump should work fine... You can even use the squeeze bottles with a hose attached, but be sure not to get crap down in the tank or you will muck up an auto trans...

Most likely the fluid was added before the engine / torque tube / trans was installed into the engine as one complete assembly.

I know others have some cool methods, I bought a simple suction pump( $10.00) It has a clear short hose that I simply pumped from 1 litre containers and bent the hose into the resevoir from under the car. It took a number of pumps but left no mess.

A while ago one of the moderators created a new filter that adds 1,000 posts to my total every time you make a post causing someone to bang their head against the keyboard.

For a while it was climbing quite rapidly.

Get a length of garden hose (CLEAN) and a funnel. Stick the funnel in one end, then run the hose over the rear tire and stick it into the transaxle. The funnel end will now be up above the rear tire, next to the fender.

Warm the bottles of fluid up in a big pot of really hot water (or sink, whatever, as long as the water is hot). Let the bottles sit in the hot water for a while, then pour down the hose. The hot water is to heat the gear oil up and itll flow down the garden hose a lot better. Check often to make sure its not overflowing, and pour slow.

Or you can buy a little fluid pump at the parts store, pump fluid in and actually be able to see how much you're adding.

Buy a small 1 gallon or less garden sprayer. Fill with fluid and stick the end of the hose in the reservoir (don't need the wand ..just the hose end). Pump up the pressure slowly..it'll fill the reservoir easily..

Can use this to fill the diff (or the whole tranny for the 5spds) too.

I pour my ATF in from the quart containers, no problem at all. I squeeze it to deform it as it gets emptier and push the container higher up.

Actually a breast pump from the local GoodWill should suffice.

So, your mini-rant is actually a nice lead-in to announcing that your car is for sale, and where people can view the details?

I expect so little of my internet acquaintances and they so often meet those expectations in spades. And now, by bumping this thread I've contributed to your advertising exposure. Well done, weedhopper!
