Nice and shiny, I like th contrast.
I went with buffing and "plating" mine with black oxide with the original hardware. You can see it in post#28 of this thread.

Alan, that looks really nice. Is that a powdercoat crinkle or something out of a can? If coated, who did you get to do it? Looks like it came out really nicely.

Alan, that does look great.
I'm going to do my cam towers [16v] as a part of my new motor project. I'm leaning towards the token red... anyone have pics/thoughts on the 16v cam towers?

had mine powder coated w/a rough/crinkle finish a few years ago, turned out well and holding up nicely after 10k street and track miles.
does seem to collect dust in the crinkels a bit, but so far I've been able to just use a wet cloth to clean everything up and stuff still looks new.
if there was an oil leak and it got baked on, I'm not sure how easy it would be to clean, but I'm guessing if it's powdercoated as long as whatever you use doesn't eat the PC, it might clean up ok also.
pics on my sharksite. hasn't been updated in a while for the suspension / interior updates, but I think the motor pics are fairly accurate.

Mine has a gloss finish, only because I've found that matte finishes tend to wear out faster and be more permeable. I'm sure it's different with powdercoating, but mattes tend to cloud up fast and feel chalky, then won't come clean.
