Default Anyone wanna check this S4 out? $4,993 - Columbus, GA

Just wondering what your opinions are of this one:

http://ps.getauto.com/dealer/details...B0927HS860402/

I don't need another one, but I want an S4 and I really like the red interior. Is anyone close that can check it out?

I emailed them and I got a very quick response:
"Hello Dave, my name is Scott Swetmon and I am with BMW of Columbus; thank you for your inquiry on our 1987 Porsche 928, and yes it is available. The price I have advertised online is correct and is a bargain at that price. It drives good, air blows cold, and after being in it everything electrical seemed to be working. We did do a safety inspection on 928 and one thing I know was done was the turn signal relay was replaced because the blinkers were not working. If you have any other questions feel free to give me a call, but I do not think this 928 will last long at this price. I hope you had a wonderful day and I look forward to hearing from you soon."

Some of you guys seem to be able to size these things up pretty well, so I'm just curious if anyone has opinions on this one.

Thanks!
Dave

I can go look at it for you tomorrow afternoon and drive it.

Pm me your cell number and I'll call you when I am looking at it.

Really? Thank you! If it's at all out of your way please don't do it. I'm totally on the fence even if it's in great shape. It just caught my eye and thought I'd ask here on Rennlist.... but if you think it would be fun to check it out, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I'm afraid it might be a good deal and I'll have another 928 in my drive...

Wow! That is some interior combo. Not sure if those seats are original. Check the VIN against the 928registry.org website to see if it has history there.

Price is great if Abby can go check drive it for you tomorrow.

Love the name of the salesperson Scot "No" SwetMon. Ok so I added the "No". Sounds cool with Jamaican accent.

My office is in Columbus and I will be there all day tomorrow, so it is not a problem at all. I go right by that dealership often. I have a full morning but can swing by there in the afternoon and if you send me your sell# I'll call you from the dealership. I have that same interior in my turbo..

Honestly, that's what it is. There was a brand called 'Autobahn' and was quite popular as a dealer add on in that era. My 86.5 had one when I bought it.

If you have time, that sounds great. My cell is (** PM sent**). Feel free to call if you check it out. I really appreciate your willingness to help out.

Thanks again,

Quite fun how this one also has wheels mounted wrong on the driver's side (front is installed in the rear and vice versa).

You beat me to that one. One major bump will scrape the underobody coating off the fender lip. Ask me how I know.... (no, didn't happen on my current 928).

Watch out for overspray! I have a feeling you will find some on the front spoiler, near the wheel arches.

The red interior is kind of cool.
