ls1 vette couldn't pass me
I went down to the beach for a short ride and a 2000ish vette tore out of a parking lot after me....must be the flashy 19" wheels. The vette was lowered and had a stainless exhaust.....think it was pretty much stock.... We hit a light and slowed down to about 10ish mph. When it turned green both our cars pulled pretty hard and he we were even till I hit 80ish...then the 928 pulled a little harder. The euro motor is stong as hell...... and having a 2800/2900 lbs car also helps!

I think my LS1 in my 98 Trans Am would take my 81 especially off the line. Never done it though. The 6 speed is crazy fast!

The euro 928's are far stronger than the USA models......but consider the vette probably has 350hp in a 3300lb car too....vs your 330 crank HP euro in a far lighter car.....

I would imagine that he was very impressed and then a bit depressed. Rennlist has had new vette owners come on here asking what the hell we have in these cars. Did you guys happen to stop and chit chat?

Crazy fast is when bikes are starting to have hard time beating you.

A rolling start is the best way to go with these cars in my experience. From a dead stop the Vette may have had you early.
