Seriously. You need to post more often, I could stare at that all day.

Scratch that...you need to post less often, I have work to do.

Things that size tend to do a lot of damage to the bottomside of anything they get a hold of.....

Personally I'd prefer a few more curves and a bit more meat on mine...

Bill you have a great attitude - most folks would feel they were unlucky to have the bottom of their car torn up by a big chunk of steel on the freeway...

Anyway hope everything else that happens is good news - I'm sure you'll get lots more help to patch it all back together before the home run... payback time folks!

Glad you're on the road again. Hope the rest of the trip is less hazardous.

Bill doesn't need any mufflers.......a quick hacksaw job and he's back on the road.....however replacing the muffler-pipe is a better "answer"

Bill is the Chuck Norris of 928's.

Bill doesn't manually put parts on a 928, he just stares at them until they jump into place out of fear.
When a bird attempts to poop on his Porsche, our feathered friend spontaneously combusts.
Bill never has to worry about hitting a pot hole, upon approaching the road blemish, the surrounding asphalt particles temporarily fills in the hole as he drives over.

Good work guys!!!

Bill and the rest of the Cali entourage made it to OCIC and were at dinner (a great BIG thank you to S4ordie) albeit a little later than the rest of us.

What I'm really impressed with is how the drivers door stays open at that angle. Mine won't even stay open when the car is level.

Easy fix.

Nice way to end this thread! Big thanks for all the encouragement in this thread. And bigger thanks to Darien and the whole crew of helpers we had at his house.

Here we are 5 years later, no worse for wear. This car and all the good people here still make me happy.

lol I remember that day. We were on the way to TX. Had to stop and do shade tree repair at Darien`s house. There are some other pics of the damage floating around.
