Is this a copy and paste from the other thread? You guys can keep this thread going but I wasted my time on it in the past. The guy never comes up with any proof and the story gets fishier the longer the thread rolls on. This guy was full of crap back then and he's full of a double dose now.

the thief really did mastermind this, two police departments fell for his game. Because the thief led the investigation and not an honest cop the result aside from my 928 missing my civil rights were violated

Damn, you hit the nail on the head.......

I highly recommend that you invest in an aluminum foil hat to help block the mind control waves the local police dept is using to control everyone's mind and unite them against you and also make you believe you actually owned a 928 at one point in your life. They have so much fun doing this kinda thing to the general public.

Oh, and congratulations on being the only person in the US that Obama has ever inspired.

See, you are changing your story again. This last version above might even be accurate, but if it is accurate it means that you **NEVER REGISTERED YOUR CAR WITH THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY**.

Because you didn't register your car properly, which means, because you never paid sales taxes on your car and paid to have a state license tag on your car, you forfeit all of the protections of the state when it comes to a title fight.

Compounding your above error, you didn't have insurance that would pay off in your circumstance.

Further compounding the above, you were too cheap to purchase title insurance from Autocheck or Carfax.

...

Titles are electronic. A policeman *can't* drive to NJ and remove your paper title from the DMV.

That sort of story hasn't even been possible in the last twenty years. You'll have to do better with your future story telling.

You've got nothing to show. He's got the car. You've got nothing.

You can't even name the license tag #, much less show a picture of your title, because you never got a license tag and you never registered your car to get a state-issued title.

...and no, handwriting your name onto a paper title is *not* a proper, registered title.

In short, you are the poster boy for "How NOT To Buy A Car" or the alternate version "How To Pay Money For A Car That You Can't Have."

So this thread might be two years later, but you'll be able to come back in 4 more years, and then again in 14 more years, and then again in 44 more years saying the same spiel...

...because you are **NEVER** going to get that car back because you were unclever in how you bought it.

For future reference, if you want to avoid being scammed out of a car *again*, you would be wise to register your new car immediately with your state, pay all taxes, get your title, get your state-issued license plate, and purchase title insurance from autocheck or carfax.

Should you fail to do all of the above, then you will very likely lose another car in the future, as scammers can see an easy mark and will double-dip for more kills.

You were vulnerable to a thief/mastermind only because you never registered your car.

You can blame the thief/mastermind, but that's like blaming a snake for biting you after you told your wife to hold your beer while you swung it around like a lasso.

And please, don't bother claiming that you really did register your car with the state of NJ while you are unable to post a picture of the state-issued title.

Besides, the above scam is only possible because you failed to register the car.

Your misfortune should serve to warn others about the dangers of avoiding the payment of state taxes on cars.

Because you were being cheap (avoiding paying sales taxes, avoiding paying a license tag fee, avoiding paying $50 for title insurance), you got burned.

Things like this are why poor people stay poor. You act poor. You get burned.

...and people have asked me why I register the same day I buy. This is why.

Yup. Smart man! That minimizes the window for title fraud.

I'd rather know up front. I've made a seller go to the DMV with me when I questioned the out of state title. It all worked out, but the extra $100 I offered was well worth it to have him sit next to me while I registered the car just in case.

sorry, but I would have given up on that car a month after it was gone. And spending money on 3 lawyers??? You may as well burn it in the fireplace, at least it will do something for you then!! What makes you think if one cannot do it, that 2 more idiots will be able to?

Of course there are alot of people questioning if this story is real, but it could be.... Like the worst case of Porsche OCD EVER!

Tony Soprano says:
Find the car and torch it, if you can't have it then nobody can. F--- Em!
