Only the mods know for sure, but I don't think his title ever said "banned". That's always been a bit odd. I'm sure JD remembers banning him.

I don't know any of the personalities involved. Some are getting slammed and responded, and some are being slammed without being present.

I could give a wet dribbly spit about the various personalities involved. Greg showed up complaining that specific parts he shipped are missing. He says he has some independent witness that it happened as he said. It would take a keen eye, and knowledge of 928 parts to identify GT specific parts, I hope his witness has the ability to discern the difference.

The receiver in the US got what they got(some form of 928 heads, covers, etc). Then, three years passed and they sent them on to the owner with photos, video, witnesses, etc. And finally, the buyer says he didn't get what he paid for.

AFAIK, not knowing any of the people involved, and with no animosity to anyone, I'd say all three are still on the hook for getting their defense in order. As for Greg being upset with the speculation here, I'd say 'get a clue' this is rennlist, and we don't like mysteries shrouded in enigmas. I appreciate that his goal is to find the parts, and I commend him for that, but without showing his proof, I'd say he was the last one to see the specific parts in person.

And the porridge thickens . . .

Drove a ton of miles in three years.
Can't imagine waiting 3 years to build a motor up.

Then why did you bring it here in the first place? This group is not going to simply beaver in and look for parts, they are going to question EVERYTHING.

But I think I finally got the problem: the ultimate buyer claims he didn't get the correct parts. So is he telling the truth? If so, then were the parts substituted at some point? If so when, and by whom?

Is this right? If it is, I think you could have stated the problem more simply up front, and we would have all been clear about your inquiries. Your request for info on the putative missing parts reflects that you have already decided the parts were indeed substituted, whether you meant to imply that or not.

+1,000,000,000,000,000,000...

GG - So much bs wasted time trying to figure out what is the purpose of the OP. This forum is composed of the not so smart types (ok, that would be just me) but mostly pretty sharp people that are adept at reading between the lines and insinuations. No one here understood the vagueness you presented or the reason why. We get it now, I think.

I know all the parties involved. Months ago, I volunteered to try and mediate so they could reach an amiable solution. But after getting each side's story, it quickly became clear that both sides are so far apart in their position that nothing short of litigation will resolve the matter.

It is amazing how people who do not know either party, know nothing of the situation, can speculate for 8 pages.
Thankfully, we all agreed a few days ago that this forum is first and foremost a technical forum

In any event, even the parties involved would not clarify anything in a public forum, since they are in litigation.
This thread was a really bad idea.

Guys, this sounds like a personal witch hunt....he said she said kinda thing, orchastrated by a person behind a curtin....

Is this really something worthy of the renny community attention?

Is this same query posted on the other 3 shark forums????

I know there is a need for a bit of drama here, but this is developing into some real WEAK SAUCE..

Somebody has a beef... They should take it up personally or through the courts.

Any one can sling poo at a vendor for any self serving reason, claiming altruistic reasons for their motivation.

Of course this is generally a baldfaced, narcisstic lie, as ALL men act in their own best interests virtually all the time. Especially when such action is premeditated.

I find this to be poor theater with a self serving plot.

I really do not understand why this community puts up with it.

My opinion anyway....

Can't we just shoot this poor lame horse? I vote close this waste of time thread. Nothing gained here, just lost time and more drama. I regret having read and participated in it.

9 pages based on second hand innuendo? Please...don't the purveyors of 928 parts and services that have been around a bit deserve the benefit of a doubt? Sure do from me based on my experiences.

How about a poll requesting that this thread be closed (or not) and let the injured parties (real or imagined) duke it out in the courts. This is like watching a train wreck. You really do not want to see it, but you can't take your eyes off of it. SOMEBODY please close this thread. Where is the DRAMA LLAMA when we need it? Andrew, Andrew, Bueller, Bueller.
