928 Window Sticker
#31
Hi Gary,
Thanks for posting the pic! It's the only one I have. Never received pics from the new owner, although maybe he's joined this community.
I wish I had this 928, especially as I remember it.
Thanks again!

Hi Mitch
I'll look for more pics if you want.
Yes, despite my love/hate relationship with her, I wish I had her back too.
So, do you remember when your dad sold it? I must have bought it in the spring of 1988 at Stevens Creek BMW.. so was I the second owner?
Your dad was a Dr.? His name was in the warranty book. I know he was a tailgator from all the chips on the hood! And his(?) quick shifting into
first ate up the syncro... helped by the hanging clutch no doubt.. german quality design....
Did he knowingly un-plug the oxygen sensor? That cost me about 4 MPG for a couple years before I found it, LOL.
Do you still have a copy of the sticker? I would love to see it, your old link isn't good anymore.
I hope that owner 10 years ago didn't destroy it.. painted silver? OOh... Raiders fan no doubt, but it was soo pretty before.
Ah, it was a good experience...

To hear that mine existed as late as 10 years back is great news.

I suspect you were the 3rd owner, as my dad was not a doctor, but meticulous about his p-cars. Chips in the hood, quick shifting, and unplugged o2 sensor were not his style.
I'd love any additional pics you're able to share. I've sent you a PM with my email. Let me dig through my files and folders for the window sticker. If I can find it, I'll share with you.
Next project. Paperwork from my dad's mid 60's 911. Euro delivery, correspondence with the dealer regarding the order, shipping, and delivery docs. I'll dig that up and see if I can connect these docs with the car.
A pic of this car is in the Sept '68 Christophorus Special Issue. Page 55. (Death Valley, covered wagon, mule in the pic)

This is the only other pic I can find right now... I know I have others, they used to hang on the wall in my old office at work.
I'll keep looking...
I didn't get your PM.. I think its because I am a free account here and it's not allowed.. I initially tryed to PM you too.
