When you are young, you just can't wait for that box to come in the post.
When you are older.... it's a crate!
I had a big crate arrive yesturday.
Old Porsche dealership road side signs.
I scooped them up recently when in a small town on business. They had been stacked in a back room for years, under 5 mm of dust.
The plexiglass panels (one still in crate) are 6'x6'
I will be mounting them on the walls of my garage, and having them back lit with floresent lighting . I'll be sure to post pics when I get the chance to install.
Cheers,
Michael

NEAT! You gonna put them in a box and back light them like they are supposed to be??? That would be SUPER COOL! Or even cut into the wall so they are flush and back lit from within the wall...

Yea, but how many box tops did you have to collect this time around

personally, I like the current signs you see in Porsche dealerships which read simply in big red letters
"P O R S C H E"
I think that looks pretty cool. The I never really liked the crest as i always thought it was a copy of Ferrari, and most times the ONLY time you see the porsche crest is on the hood/bonnet.
To me the porsche emblem, is their typestyle and their simple name PORSCHE

Thanks guys,
Should have the time to mount one of them next week.
I'm selling my S4, and just finding the time to wash it is difficult right now.
I'll use 2 floresent light fixtures.
Make sure I post some pics.
Cheers,
Michael

Michael,
With your considerable fiberglass molding skills, one of those signs would make a cool bonnet/hood for that 964 turbo project you're chasing .... that, and a nice set of 22" spinners to set it off ...
With the spinners in place, I'd consider taking those fugly RS wheels off your hands ....
