probably one of the most imeasurable mods possible, I imagine. However, they dont look the best.
Didnt GTS's come with those straight, insulated tubes?

Mark - I am confused. The car as originally described by you as a "1994 Devek Stroker ....silver blue" turns out to be Slate Grey with Dark Grey interior. Is it still a 5spd as well. Sounds like you have had personal knowledge of this car from the beginning of it's pre and post perfromance enhancement life. Has the car been re-painted?

Was the original 5.4L block built into the 6.5L engine. Not sure Ifollow the comment "I was trying to get a hold of the 5.4 liter short block, but it was part of the deal he made with Devek". Sounds like the original engine is not in the car.

Can you/he provide a detailed list of what has been done to the car and when? Do you have any affiliation with the sale of this car?

Would like to confirm the original description you provided.

He was always into making it faster and finally, he bit the bullet and went on a year long 6.5 liter rebuild project. I was trying to get a hold of the 5.4 liter short block, but it was part of the deal he made with Devek. Also, it has had the heads re-done with 968 valves and minor porting work. (Devek design). Headers, with a cat and is still smog legal. (just passed smog). It also has the GT cams installed. Its a beast!
With 420rwhp after a shark tune, it is a monster. However, it rarely gets driven and the owner needs to put this car on the market.
So, If anyone is interested, Ill pass on the word. Ive driven this car and it is nice. Mileage is under 60k, so it is basically a new car. New PS2 tires, and I think the devek Level II suspension as well. He has well over the asking price into this car, just in a portion of the upgrades alone! I think He is asking for $31,000. Let me know if anyone is interested. Ill be driving the car this friday to lunch so I can take some pictures if anyone wants to hear and see more about it. A true supercar in near mint condition. I think its a steal, and wish I could trace my BMW for it and use it for a daily driver. (wife said, absolutely not!)

PS Yes, its a 5 speed, of course!

Or how about just posting the current owner's contact info? If he wants to sell it he should be motivated to post up the information.

Yes, the GTS's came with insulated straight tubes. Not a serious performance difference, but I just thought it was odd to get rid of them and put in S4 pieces as opposed to some other kind of straight tubing if for some reason the original GTS tubes went bad.

you are getting too wrapped up in the minor errors. silver blue, slate grey, whatever. I hadnt seen the car for years and just heard it was for sale. I wanted someone on the list to have an opportunity to get this car.
I have NO vested interest in the car.
I have driven it, its perfect. Its fast and its the ultimate 928GTS. I know the owner, and have been talking to him all along the way during the mods, so I know the car. I dont get caught up in the fluffy stuff like the actual paint names. '93 vs 94, its a 93. Sorry, I assumed it was a '94 based on how it looked and low mileage. Its a '93, as it turns out, and is 58k miles.
I started out saying it was being for sale for over $31k, because that is what the owner was looking to get, however, he really wants under $35k, and am positive he would take $34k right now. If I was on the sale side of this, or had an interest, you would have up to the minute information and detailed pics as I am known for.
as far as the Stroker build, no, they used another block and sold off the 5.4. I was after the 5.4 if it was going to hit the market or not be used. Devek built it. Its perfect. no oil burning, great power and runs like a stock 928. Again, its one of the best cars Ive been in PERIOD!

On the first post, i said I "thought" he was asking $31k. turns out he wants something in the $34k range. heck, Im sure he would take something lower if no one is interested.

Mark, each of those minor fluffy details is a few thousand dollars difference in price, that is why you are getting cranky responses.
