Hi eatiles,
Per the 928Registry.org for a 1994 928 GTS:
++++++++++
Wheels were 7.5x17 front and 9x17 rear 17" "Cup" style wheels with an offset of 65mm(front) and 55mm(rear) with 225/45 17(front) and 255/40 17(rear) tires.
++++++++++
And added to that, from Phil's "NEW WHEELS FOR YOUR 928", that included a 35mm spacer on the rear wheels on the 1994 GTS.
Hope this helps.

Joe,
I too like the CUP I wheel as far as a stock 928 wheel is concerned, but if you don't need (and you DON'T) the tire pressure monitoring system do yourself a favor and save some money in the long run and get something more modern. I would HIGHLY recommend the CIII or the CIII lightweight wheel like RKD runs on his GTS! They look AWESOME and fit just fine!
You can find takes offs from 996/997's with virtually new tires for less than the cost of the Cup I wheel!
If you are really set on Cup I's just buy some aftermarket that have pretty close offsets... You can run as little as a 50mm offset on the front of a 928...

Hi pcar928fan,
What the heck are CIII wheels? I tried Googling them and nothing came up. A little help would be appreciated, like a picture or two, haha.
Thanks,
Joe

Joe,
The CIII's as noted are far more modern looking than ANYTHING that ever came on a 928 and in 18" to boot so they really look the performance part that they are. Search for any post by RKD in OKC and you will see the regular (beefed up) CIII wheel. The "lightweight" CIII (and I may have some of the nomenclature wrong on this, but I don't think so) look even better IMHO but they are not nearly as strong, so the wheels like RKD in OKC has would be an excellent choice.
The 52mm offset replica CupI's would be a better alternative than the notorious leaky factory CupI's with their TPM sensors...
Good luck in your quest.

Thanks Erkka and James,
The CIII are great looking wheels.
I would prefer to stick with 17" wheels - all the CIII ones I looked at were 18" wheels. We have too many potholes and bad parking lots around here to run such a tall tire, hehe.
VTY,
Joe

Joe, you are not thinking long term enough... wheels/tires are getting bigger and bigger, you will have WAY MORE options for tires if you go 18" vs 17"... I know, lots of pot holes, if that was a HUGE issue then Porsche would not offer 18"'s much less 19" and 20" wheels like they do...
Agree with Erkka, save the Cup I's for those '92 and '93 cars that need them because of the RDK system.
