The reason I'm ditching the distributor it because it's right in the way of the throttle body. RicerSchnitzzle I think I remember you commenting on a post I put up months ago you might remember. I'm putting a turbo in the center of the V of the engine and have two intakes right above the ports with short runners, two big plenums, and the throttle bodies facing forward so a distributor is dead in the way on the driver side. Plus, there's a shaft connecting the two throttle bodies that would pass through that space.
