Default euro "s" intake and twin dizzy f/s

Hey I've got an intake and twin distributor from a euro "s" engine. I saw the car I bought it from it had the little red foglight in the rear bumper. The runners are a bit bigger than my '81 and the throttle body is about a solid inch bigger. Anyway it was post CIS (the motor had electronic injectors). I will post pics tomorrow the camera is dead. The intake looks great I cleaned it up a little and the distributor likewise. I don't care about these parts anymore they don't work with the turbo setup and dis ignition. Make me a reasonable offer and it's out of here.

To list items for sale or wanted, you need to have a paid membership and list a price.

There's a euro intake spider on ebay with a $300 bid already. And that's without the throttle body. And it's poorly painted red and black. With a throttle body you should get at least that much.

Actually, it does include the throttle body. Bidding ended at one bid for $300

Ok mine is from an 84 or 85 euro s engine. Was the one on ebay a euro or euro s? Earlier this year Leslie 928 s2 sold one on here for $450. My price is $425 plus shipping. I can also have it powdercoated to any color locally if interested. It's in perfect shape. BTW anyone with a 4.5 car can run one of these with a ford MAF and tune with an SAFC Neo or MAF conversion unit of their choice and a wideband o2 sensor. I've done this a few times on turbocharged bmw's I built and wanted to ditch the flappy meter. I do not have the stock maf sensor. Pics will be up in a little while.

This is incorrect information.

The 4.5L was CIS and cannot be switched over to a MAF.

As well the L-jet system with the flappy on the US 4.7Ls are VERY primative and I had a local company who makes MAF conversions for BMWs take a look at doing a MAF conversion kit for the L-Jet cars they took one look at the brain and said it would not be possible.

Sorry Lizard but that is not true, there are two documented L-Jet 928's running around with MAF conversions that I know of. I'm sure one of them will chime in here sooner or later.

Thanks for the correction on that point Hacker,

I am curious as to how the conversion worked for them though and if they find that the mixture remains stable in all conditions. I ask this as some of the earlier kits had issues and always seemed the need to be dialed in.

IIRC they are using a piggy-back brain similar or the same one used on the 944 conversions.

I'm sure they are not on par with a factory MAF setup, the conversion offers a better / easier way to tune for engine modifications. Personally I'm going with a complete swap to a EuroS LH / EZF since I've run into a limitation with the stock ignition system. I found a band-aid for now that is getting me by, it's not a long term solution.
