Default Blow Out SALE Boge (Sachs) gas shocks

Sachs have informed the wholesalers that they will no longer be manufacturing the Boge stock gas shocks.
I just did a deal on a limited amount of sets and can offer them for $385 a set of 4.
Get em while they are available.

Roger-

Is this going to be the case for the Boge Reds as well?

Can someone explain the difference between the gas and oil shocks offered by Boge? I currently have the grey on the GT and I'm not sure if they're gas or oil.

Roger will they continue to offer the oil?

Can anyone offer a comparison of the stock Boge's vs say the Bilstein's?

I'd imagine any new shock vs a 20 yr old shock is going to be like night and day, but just wondering about ride, performance, etc.

Thanks,

Ed

ps: Rog this sounds like a screaming deal.

The oil shock may be still available as they were only used on the pre 86 cars IIRC.
Nobody buys the oil filled anymore and go with the gas.
If Sachs are canning the gas the oil will certainly go the same way.
Sachs consider gas filled a very slow mover.

Sucks they are going, mine are toast, but shocks just aren't in the cards right now. I really don't want anything from the current aftermarket, more expensive, too. What a bummer.

Hey Roger, I REALLY wish someone would strike up a deal with Koni ::cough:: and have them make their FSD shocks for the 928. They are very reasonably priced and as compared to factory shocks on most cars they ride far better and improve handling considerably. Strait in line with the focus of a true GT car like the 928. Tire rack reviews and various search results leave a very good impression on me. After talking to performanceshock.com and asking them some questions they cannot be adapted from another application, but are everything they are cracked up to be.
WE NEED SOME OF THESE!!!

The "gas " shocks still use oil for the damping because liquids do not compress. The high pressure gas is to help keep the oil from foaming because just like in the engine aerated foam does not work like a liquid. Great deal on shocks by the way !

Dang... I`ve got two rear shocks on the way to me. Ok Roger bring a couple fronts for my 83 to OCIC and I will pick them up. I would not have time to change them out before them anyway.
