2nd to Bills comment.....I rode in his 928 with the bilstein-eibach combo & DID NOT like the ride..... vs the stock springs-bilsteins that was quite nice....

My opinion on my new Eibach and bogie set up is they are too soft. I actually think my BMW 3 has a stiffer set up. If I did it again I would go with Eibachs and a adjustable shock.

Colin, Eibach don't make them specifically for 928's, but one of the local GTS owners (leonard928 here) has fixed-rate eibachs on his car, from memory 550 lb fronts. he just ordered the correct length and ID/OD and rate. He's very happy with them.

I have Eibachs too, 600/400 with the 2.5" coil, they are a great spring. Just a bit much for the street.

im sorry, but does no one else see this as a huge problem?

What happens now when all the Boge's are gone? Are we left with only Bilstein or Koni? I am not happy to hear this that boge wont be supporting or continuing to make these parts.

In all honesty i would always put Bilsteins on a car i was keeping or restoring, but they are twice the cost of the Boges. I guess you just need to stock up on them? I imagine Roger is selling multiple sets to people just so they can leave them on the shelf.

I like the boges for a car which is driven lightly. I would not even bother with the koni shocks again.

I would recommend the bilstein though. But it looks like or shock options are getting slim.

You can always go custom made, it isn't like they are not making say rear light clusters, then you'll be stuck after the 2nd hand ones are gone. I may also look at a cnc program for Ohlins shocks, they are pretty easy to convert from off the shelf and what is needed is a custom piece to mount the rear shock on the bottom upside down. These then would the cheapest 2 way individually adjustable shocks.

shock selection and "ride" comfort are highly dependant on the individual driver-owner and what their needs are....for a pure street driven 928....boges with stock springs is going to deliver a very nice ride with still good handling....as you increase to stiffer shocks and springs the handling will get better, but at the expense of ride quality too....same thing with larger tires, more grip but more noise too

I just installed these in my car, replacing my 24 year old oil Boge's. Car rides so smooth now and less body roll in turns at the same time. They give a very comfortable ride and I have 40/35 series tires on 18" rims. I could see people who are more into hardcore handling wanting more damping, but someone wants a smooth nice handling GT these are the ticket. Too bad there are soon going to be NLA. I wonder if they will still sell the oil Boge's, I know Rock Auto lists them.
