I threw an X-pip on my car while I was there, compliments of quick shipping by Dave at Motorsport!
Since between the 2 of us we somehow were out of PB, WD-40 was used instead. Dave sends all new hardware so it was a matter of getting the old crap off!!

At one time Michaels car was BEAUTIFUL. I can see the FULL LEATHER package used to be on it, all the french seams on the dash, console and doors I bet it smelled so good when the original owner bought the car. It seems to really be a buyer optioned out car like I think many of our cars once were (but who knows). His car is an 80 and while I guess the VIN pulls up euro nothing else points to that?
It has Full leather package, no sunroof, competition S package, 8" Euro H4 lights, polished wheels and B/B with 5 speed. If we get to locating the options sticker maybe we can figure out what else it had.
The dash and console are DESTROYED from the sun, Karl you are a true hero for the donation!
Otherwise the motor actually looks in REALLY nice shape, which was then leaked down with optimum results, it is time to just throw it in and go from there. It seems like Michael has about everything needed that came with the car, we need to throw the motor in and get it going.
The car is prescufed and ready for year specific single stage black

It is a 2.25 hour drive for me to get there, but I am dedicated at this point to help Michael save another Shark that was almost given up on for parts! I am happy to see Karl's donation going to the project. I think the next step is dropping the motor in and I will plan to stay over an extra day and see what we can do with this thing? Rennlist Mobile will be in full effect as we try to get the motor in and everything wired up properly!

I was completely exhausted, but didn't feel it until about 30minutes into the drive. The Pinwheels were for the wife as an offering for being gone all day wrenching!
Only the added HP's from teh X-pipe where keeping me awake

Default Karl Ruiter Rocks!

Update: This morning, Karl Ruiter gave me a complete, very serviceable dash which I plan on refinishing in the next few weeks (w/pics/I promised). This most generous gesture will move my project forward so much faster.

What a nice man and if that is not enough, I got to talk P-Cars and 928's with an experienced and knowledgeable devotee. Thanks Karl. Thanks RL928. This list and the people on it are absolutely amazing.
