Looking at my shark, my screen name is obvious... Canards, huge wing, Glow gauges, big tach with shift light, neon accents inside, huge stereo, cone air filters etc...
Oh and a Nissan Throttle Body. Lots of rice on the Schnitzzle.

6MIL928= 6million dollar 928 like the 6 million dollar man. Seemed that way when I bought the piece of junk. Wait a minute still seems like that quite frequently.

The Sharkologist - one who's life is dedicated to the research and indentification of Porsche 928 parts. Not necessarily an expert, but learning. And, after a few quick unsuccessful searches on google trying to find the scientific name for one who studies sharks, I saw a result that said Sharkology and thought "perfect".

...The name of my DAOC character, and it kind of stuck on the internet. By this point in my life it's almost a second name. A lot of people I meet online know me by this name and don't know my actual one, and it's used in several aspects. It's just my general alias now.

Manfred.
My Dad's name. Dad had a late model ('67,68?) 912 so turned me on to Porsche. My grandfather was a big fan of motor sports and named my dad after a famous German race car driver of the day (1932). Don't know who that might've been--anyone wanna chime in?
Seemed appropriate as an alias given the history of the name and how it brought me to this forum.
Post-update: This must be the guy:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manfred_von_Brauchitsch. From stories from my grandmother my grand dad was a big Mercedes fan too so the silver arrow bit makes sense. Also, my grandparents were from right outside Hamburg so he would've been a bit of a hometown hero. Too bad the guy ended up chosing to defect to East Germany, maybe I should rethink my moniker.

So my name is Brendan. I have to say it at least 16 times a day in public if I am meeting people. At least 2-3 times each meeting.
Me: "Hello, my name is Brendan,"
Him: "Branden?"
Me: "Brendan"
Him: "Benjamin?"
Me: "Brendan - like Brendan Fraiser the actor,"
Him: "Oh, Brandon"
Me: No, Brendan, like... Bren"DEN".
And then I still get called Brandon. In my 20s, I stopped answering if the bastards said it wrong. Its so simple. It worked, but I didn't make many friends doing it. Friends are overrated anyway.
And my last name Starts with a C.

I used to be a semi pro paintball player. I traveled all over the country to compete in tournaments. When I was running down the field, my blond hair would be blowing in the wind and someone said it looked like Fabio. My team mates started calling me that and before long, that was what I was known as. Just as many people knew me by that name as not. 421 was my jersey #. I used that user name on paintball forums and just carried it over to here.
