Leslie - as others have said; we all hope that you are well - you need to make sure you are not hurt and then deal with the car later.

Initial trama can make things seem worse than they are so get youself checked out - have the hubby check the car out - and let us know what we can do to help.

So sorry to hear that Leslie, especially after all the work you guys have put into it! True, as others have said, there is no replacing you, but still, I know how you feel - it really sucks to have the car smashed! Can it be fixed? If not, Ryan is practically giving away an S4 in another thread. Think positive!!!

Ugh! Such sad news. the fact you could post is a good sign, though like others have suggested, please seek examination to make sure there are no personal injuries. They can manifest days and sometimes weeks later. I do hope the driver of the other vehicle is uninjured and that only the cars have suffered.

Beloved cars, like people, sometimes go unexpectedly. It is tragic when we are involved in their demise. But in this case, the 928 probably performed as designed, to fold in on the crush zones sparing you significant trauma. Though inanimate, your 928 did in a sense give it's life to spare yours.

Looking forward to hearing about your health first and the car second. My most positive thoughts and condolences to you.

Leslie, you and Kevin are such positive contributing members of the Rennlist community. I am sure when all is done this group of people will provide great assistance in helping you to remain in the family.

With most sincere wishes for good things,
Dan

Get a grip fella's. She was obviously fine enough to come and post about it here. And with an extra dollop of drama for added emphasis.

I'm sure he won't hate her forever and if she's going to hell, it ain't cause she wrecked a car.

Really sorry to hear this. We have all had brain farts and **** happens. Sounds like Kevin is a good guy and after the initial shock is over you guys will come up with a plan to rebuild or find another project. yeah we often times put alot of ourselves into our 928's but after all is said and done it is still just metal.
Glad you are all right.

Some pics of the car would be nice too, so we can see if we can help out.

Hey all....thanks so much for your kind words of encouragement. Your posts and pm's meant a lot.

So, here's the damage....somehow, I don't think it will buff right out.

As for me, well, I'm sore. And my neck hurts. But I will live. Pandora will not.

Holy crap, that's a lot worse than I thought it would be. Are you sure you're okay? You'll start hurting today or tomorrow. Takes a day or two sometimes for the muscles to realize what just happened to them.

Glad you made it out.

OUCH, thats a super bummer!
I hope that your OK Leslie, and as Dave said, the car did its job, although one that we dont like to see if it works, by protecting you from more extensive body damage....
I hope that you can get things sorted out.
I am sure some good will come of this.

Most important is that you're ok. Get yourself to the doctor/hospital if you continue to have pain.

I'm sure you and Kevin are resourceful enough to find another 928 to replace Pandora.

Good luck with getting things straightened out.
