Default Fuelmaster - anyone with any experience with these?

fuelmaster.com
They make some interesting claims on fuel savings (8-18%).
They (through their local dealer) offer a money back guarantee.

Has any one tried one of these?
Any idea where the best place to instal one on an S4 would be (Politely please).

Should I jump in and 'test' one for the 928 community?

Any idea if the MAF or oxygen sensors might get a bit confussed with this setup.

Please be gentle!!

Myles

I highly doubt a magnet is going to work.
The problem is things like this claim higher MPG by giving you better combustion on your fuel. So the only way this works (if it does anything at all) is allow you to use less petal because you are getting more 'power' with the same amount of fuel. This is where the E85 guys say you don't actually use the 20% more fuel because you have more power so you use less petal. Well, I use more petal with more horsepower so I seem to not qualify for things like this. Basicially if it does work, I believe you are only going to see these gains from controlled testing- ie they drove down a stretch of road at 55 mph, and then drove again down the stretch of road at 55 mph.......

If the car makers could get 11% more MPG by sticking a $5 magnet on a fuel line, they would all be using them on their cars. That is one of the points they compete on and compared to what it really costs to get 11% better mileage it would be a no-brainer to put this on every vehicle.

Car voodoo is about as effective as the psychic hotline... It migth make you ffel better, but it provides no tangible results except a lighter wallet.

Myth Busters tried several of these items like this one and the "Tornado" they were all bunk. A magnet is not going to align particles to burn more efficiently. Even if it could, they would un-align on there continued trip past the magnet into the injectors.
