I am setting it up for 5-6 psi intercooled with the fmu for James to start with. Should make 410-430 at the wheels and will be a super-fast GTS no doubt! If he gets a shark tuner, he can increase as he tunes and will have a very versatile platform for boost.

The simple route would be to take out the GTS engine and drop in a stock S4 engine. With that in mind, I have successfully boosted GTS cars with GTS engines.

James, once you know what you are all getting with the kit, I can help you get it setup. Since it is intercooled you can run more boost that a Stage One setup. This will require larger injectors (42 lb recomended), MAF restrictor, and custom MURF 928 Stage 3 chips. I highly recommend not running with the BEGI FMU on your car.

PM me if you want to discuss this further.

BTW, that is a smokin deal on the sc kit.

Tim I still have those chips you burned for me, should I pass them along to James? Also I told him he needed to buy a pump but I am giving him a tank with a ford lightning pump I had as a proto. Not pretty, but it don't leak and it's free! He will need the short fuel lines at the fmu and the dipstick as well as the oil supply line. Why don't you like the BEGI? I will give James the Vortech unit with some more discs for ratio changes because I know you'll support that set-up as you provided it. If he is only going to run the 5 or 6 he should be ok on the stock inj. for now.

Hi Kevin,
You are correct, the FMU will work with low boost and stock injectors. Just don't push it too much past the 5-6 psi with a GTS. Actually, make sure you give him the EZK chip because that will take out some timing advance where he will need to. You can toss the LH chip, it's outdated.

The reason I don't like the BEGI in particular is the thin metal plate they use to push the plunger on the diaphram. Very prone to breaking. I like the onset pressure adjustment but that is more required for positive displacement blowers. Bottom line is that is does work if you set it up properly.

I will be able to help him out with whatever he needs. Make a list.

So James, when can we expect you back at the dyno? I need to get back there ASAP with the changes I've got.

Let me know and I'll set it up with Tony and whoever I can get.

BTW- The dyno guys copied the wrong set of files onto my SD card so I have to go back. They only gave me jpg files of the screenshots, not the actual files. Will keep you posted (and good luck with the new setup, keep us posted on that!)

He's on his way home. James has just took possession of the best SC deal ever on the list. You should have seen his eyes light up as we were going through the boxes and I held the polished V-2 up for him to see. He needs a 5psi pulley and the oil lines. I suggested he get the one that taps the pan for max return flow. He will have it installed by Wed. he said. Good luck and on the maiden voyage, wear your seatbelt friend!
