I heard that they hit a dead turkey that some lunatic threw off the road above.

Ok Mike, I laughed out loud at that.

I am not sure if he was looking at the scenery or what, but we saw him ride off the road, as soon as he did Mitchel said "Watch out, he is going down"

When he went off the road he was ok, IF he would have stopped and then slowly tried to get back on the road over the 4-6 inch drop from the pavement, but it looked like he just tried to ride back on the pavement and it did a tank slapper which threw them both over the top.

WOW, what a story all around.

Greg, it was great meeting you. I didn't make the connection that you were "blown 87" until late in the day saturday! I'd followed your rebuild thread closely. Anyway, good hangin' out with you and your bro. Thanks for poppon' the tops of my beers.

FWIW, I had a turkey fly along with me in front of my car for about 100ft. It was quite surreal.

I hope the urge to scatter my 87 almost gone, maybe I can leave it mostly together for a while and make Texas.

If I was to ever leave my beloved Georgia, Texas is one of the very places in the US I would consider moving.

Just a auto to manual on the next few pages, then the suspension.
Those will keep me from driving the car for a while.

After the windshield the wheels have to come next, I sent my spies out to talk to people, some really liked my car, but thought it had the dirtiest, most outdated, ugliest wheels on the planet.

The BRP is pretty, but a lot of traffic and a lot of wildlife, glad you're OK.

I hear you brother, I think all that is going to have to be done is a little machine polish, a new windshield and trim and it will look better, and be better, than before.

Thank god Mitchel was not hurt, I kept singing "I am dreaming of a white Christmas" every time little glass snowflakes fell all over Mitchell on the ride back.

Greg-

Great meeting you and uncle Mitch. That's a darn shame about the bird, car and Gma and Gpa. Glad it all worked out. Hope to see you guys again soon.
