The house used in Ferris Beuler's Day Off is up for sale with the glass garage, and doomsday ravine and all. It would look better with sharks in the glass tank I think. Just no running them in reverse on a jack to try to remove miles ok?

$2.3MM and it has a gravel driveway. Probably to keep the property taxes under control. Shows well in the pictures and movies though.

This is the new enzo......
I was there on Friday, might go back down on Saturday for an open house. Anyone who shows up in a Ferrari gets to park it in the garage to take pictures.

Definitely a very unique and cool home and even better garage but 2.3M seems very excessive. The house sits on a steel beam and pillars, not an extraordinary feat.
I'm sure some of the asking price is related to the cache of beeing the home in Ferris Buellers day off.
Love that Garage!

The price is also a function of the location on this one. North Shore, think Breakfast Club, really rich. This is not expensive for the area.
The original owner of my car lived 1/2 mile away. I found his address on a 1987 dry cleaning reciept in the sun roof slot.

The "Risky Business" house is less than a block and a half away from it, and the "Who's the U-Boat Commander" Porsche dealership around 1/4 mile away.

Personally I love this house, very simple and it blends into the surroundings. If you are not looking, you cannot see the house at all except from the shot below.
It appears you have an excellent view from every room in the house.
This is for people who do not have to be in a house that screams "LOOK, I LIVE IN A $2.3 MILLION HOUSE" like most of the homes in the neighborhood.
The home is known as the Ben Rose home was designed by architects A. James Speyer and David Haid. It has been owned by Rose since it was built in 1953 and is also known as the Ben Rose Auto Museum. Rose died in 2004 and his wife Francis lived there with a caregiver until her death earlier this year.

Location, location, location. Highland Park is a high end area. Been told that lots of famous & infamous people have lived there. House is not too impressive though. That garage door needs the lower panel cleaned or replaced.

Hacker, I think you need to go back with your shark & cover the Porsche name & tell em its a Ferrari so you can take a pic in the glass garage. Heck, most people think a 928 is a Ferrari anyways right?
