Default Easy (?) quiz: What's missing?

I discovered a new part I didn't know I was missing from the GT when I took apart the GTS. Never seen one of these before, though I'm sure they're common. Tell me what's missing and I'll post a pic of it tonight.

Roger- got a part number? I need 4.

I'm stuck 'cause I can't convince my 8 year old to hold the clutch master in place while I bolt it in, so the engine is just sitting and I keep detailing it. I may have to bust out the 5 year old to get this done.

OK... I'll try.

The clip for the hall sensor connector ?

Used else where for the knock sensors... yes ?

Actually I was going to say the same as Jim, and the harness usually runs behind the cam gear backing plate, but to do so, I think the connector must be flipped. Also, I have found with the currently available Hall sender, the cable is too short and the clip does not fit anyway.

+1, I think I'll agree with Jim, I don't have a clip for my hall sensor connector, since I just replaced mine...

Jim-
AFAIK, I think there's only 2 per engine- one on the Hall, one on the front knock sensor.

Here's the culprit (off to be replated Tuesday):

Only shows one on the hall sensor - no where else.

I need to take a slew of pictures, inch by inch, of that motor while it's out on the stand. That way, when I later need to find the right cuss word for getting that little upper %&$#!! bolt out for the Hall sensor, I'll know which one to use.

The new plating on all these parts makes them look better than new. Roger-- How much is a new one of those clips? Might be cheaper to buy it, have it shipped new vs hauling the old one to the plater. If the new one comes plated like the rest of these 'new' parts.

I've got several of those clips. When you replace the hall sensor the clip no longer fits on the cable. The factory and replacements are different diameters where the clip goes, so it just kinda hangs there.

I think the clips were black Oxide from the factory, and you are right, the new cam sensor and front knock sensor cables do not really fit right, but it is nothing a small cable tie will not fix.

What plating are you using? I assume it is electroless nickle with yellow chromate? What is the plater doing about stripping the old plate?
