you'd need to mount the headlights on the rear view mirrors to look like Joan Rivers........

Thanks Paul.

Trying to source the Sunroof Delete headliner.... Looking at all of that smooth thin sheetmetal makes me want to apply some sort of sound/vibration deadener.

If you are not looking to re-gain all the height, then we can modify the old headliner easily enough.

A little bit of padding behind the headliner, and the quilts on the outside, should take care of a good deal of noise.

I really want to preserve as much of the newly gained headroom as my head rubbed on the previous headliner when I adjusted the seat the way I liked it. The reason for doing the Sunroof Delete.

Thanks for your feedback

And that messed up you "do" right

In that case, using the original headliner is still doable, but a bit more work.

We could always create an indent right above your head and call it an "inside Zagato".
That one was for the benefit of the true car fanatics in the group

I believe by removing the sunroof I reclaimed about 2 inches of head room. How thick would the padding and the quilts be? I am assuming the headliner material itself is the same as before so the 2 inches should be good enough even with the quilts, no? I probably only need an inch to fit in the car without rubbing my head.

EDIT: I really want the quilted headliner and extra room for my noggin. Please tell this is possible.
