What does it mean, "This strap will not fit the Laco Buckle"...does it really matter WHAT buckle is on the strap?! You have that orange stitching ball strap/buckle on Proto 1... Who cares what the buckle is! I want the red band with the holes in it!

A similarly themed band...though not as nice.

Breitling Rally style in thick silicone.

5mm thick at the lugs. Due to the thickness of this strap the only deployment that will work is the push button style.

20/18mm, 22/20mm, 24/22mm
(lug width/buckle width)

123/83mm (~8 1/8" not counting the buckle)

Or tire tread. Silicone Rubber, brushed stainless steel flip-lock clasp with push button locking closure. Kinda cool.

I can do shark, ostrich, nile croc and alligator if there is enough demand.

But I doubt there would be enough to warrant setting up, since I have to buy whole hides

I like the thought of the Ostrich because the others are pretty readily available...or at least it seems like they would be, I have seen more than a few shark, Alligator and Croc bands in the past...can't say that I ever remember seeing Ostrich though...

You can find Ostrich out there already. Good quality is harder to find. Same goes for Alligator and croc. A lot of what's out there is sold as Alligator while in fact it's actually cayman, which is not nearly as nice or durable.

But just to be clear, this is Chris's gig and he already has some top notch stuff.
I just putting out there that if there is a demand for something of quality that is not available, I could give it a go.

Hi Chaps

Apologies for whats probably an annoying 1st Post.

I've just purchase my first 928 last week (1979 Manual) and this was one of the first threads I came across

Having read through the majority of the 77 pages I'm still not sure as to the state of play with these.

So would appreciate if someone could give me a breif summary

1. Do we have a final design?
2. Do we have a final price?
3. People still seem to be discussing straps, so I assume this hasn't been finalised yet?
4. The Poll seems to favour Swiss movement, I assume thast what is being produced?

thanks in advance

and finally is there a PM function on here? I was going to PM Chris directly about this but can't seem to find the PM button

cheers

Mark
