The orange color needs more red. I don't like the double lines for the numbers - they are what's making this look busy.

ok I really like that last rendering RKD, gets the tach look down. The only change I would suggest is removing the 928 from the silhouette. Those numbers are already in the dial and having them at six o'clock is redundant. Not to mention, part of the appeal of this watch is being "in the know" about 928s and with it there, it gives the game away too easily.

Hey James, one additional idea. Since this is a "big pilot" it really needs the big crown to go with it, like this IWC. Completes the look.

Made the 928 numbers a little bigger, deleted the 928 from the logo, made the red line area start sooner.

The two best IMHO side by side

ok, I don't have photo shop, but here is my 928cents worth. This is with the five minute marks only. Without them its too empty & with the minute marks its a bit too cluttered to me. And since I don't have photo shop, I could only get the ! mark at the 6 o'clock position. And I like the 928 numbers under the car, leaves no doubt as to what the tribute of the watch is for.

If you think about it, who truly pays attention to the smaller marks on your tach or speedo as you drive anyways?? Its only the main marks that you look at usually. Same with a watch to me, as long as I can see the 5 min./hour marks, I'm good. The minute marks just clutter it up.

Perhaps to balance it out, move the Limited Edition lettering above the center.

Here it is with the Limited Edition moved above center to balance it out more.

Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you the Limited Edition Shark Watch

I took out the 928 in the silhouette because I agreed it looked like the watch was saying 928 928. It looked bare and top heavy without it. I thought of "Shark" to fill the hole and think it gives and apt name to the watch design.

I did the middle one just to offer because I know people would say what would it look like if... For me if you are not going with the tack look with the minute marks, then it looks cleaner with the hour marks removed where there are numbers.

I am indifferent on the Limited Edition text, but I do think having it on the watch makes it look more like it is not a cheap custom logo watch.

I like the 2nd version of the shark design as presented by RKD (Can't see the difference between that one and the third option). The additional tick hour hash marks help. I would drop the "shark" from the silohuette. I think no words is best. Would even nix the "Limited Edition" annotation. The watch says that in appearance.

I like the 2nd version by RKD, just as it is now. When will the watch be available?

RKD,

Good work and thanks to all for the input... I am partial to #1 followed by #2, but still would like to see "928" in the silhouette at the bottom.

Also, as a reminder, the hands are ORANGE, the redline and "button" are red and all the rest is white (which glows green of course)... the orange and red glow orange and red but are not nearly as bright as the white (nee. green) just so you guys know.

Not sure which one of these faces we are going to see in full on prototype form and it will take 2 weeks for us to get that back.

We will take deposits after a first full prototype is finished and we are going to have the exposition back! YEA!

I am guessing deposits (via PayPal, or CC) will be due by the end of August if you want in on the $500 deal and the balance will be due on shipping and I anticipate that would be by the 2nd week of October.... Think Sharktoberfest!

The factory stock crown for these watches is very nice IMHO, but we are looking in to the possibility of making a special one that mimics a piston for this watch! Will keep you posted!

Perry, I feel your pain bro'...been out of work myself since last Dec and NOTHING is on the horizon.

Rich and Dan, I agree there is something about that austere look that is compelling but to me it lacks a certain amount of balance and usefulness as a watch (and contrary to popular sentiment I still look at my wrist when I want to know what time it is...so that is important to me).

RKD, you are doing an awesome job taking the ideas of folks here and the base watch design we started with and integrating all the elements! Thanks so much for your hard work on this my friend!
