Default Body work finally done, check it out !

It has been a long time since my 928 has been on the road, going on 3 years with several interuptions in between. So today I took it for a long drive and a walk in the park for a few pics.

It has undergone a complete repaint. Eliminated the "s" spoiler. Added my own design rocker covers, front spoiler, rear S4 spoiler and a functioning ram air hood. As well as alot of work under the hood and a re-vamped 2-tone grey and burgundy interior .

Take a look and yell me what you think
..I know the look is not for everyone.

Very interesting. The workmanship looks excellent. The design is not to my taste, but I can't fault your application. Very unique hood scoop, have you done any temperture measurments? I would think your inlet air is cooler with the setup you have. I do like the strut brace.

How about some pics of the interior?

I've seen this car in person, and can attest to the quality of the work. David, I thought you would be a one and done type deal with me, and I have nothing but respect for you after seeing your car and learning who you are. I appreciate every aspect of your build and only hope that I can attain the level of skill you display through your perfect work. A STAND OUT MECHANIC and EXCELLENT 928 OWNER of the highest order, you exemplify the craft of loving the bastard car of the Porsche family- and inspire me (and maybe others) to become better at our project(s). Thank you for your business and friendship, and good luck with that Euro Custom BEAST! Maybe some day I'll be half as good as you at playing with my 928.

robot808, I have more pics of the motor I will have to dig up. It is as a euro spec. motor that is all powder coated gloss black with stainless allens bolts throughout down to stainless nuts for the head studs. All of the hoses are braided stainless even down to the CIS fuel lines.

BTW, I never heard a 928 sound so healthy before- It makes me want to covet the euro motor I'm babysitting...

The body isn't exactly what I would do, but it does look great none the less. I like the front spoiler. I've never liked the s4 rear spoiler on the old body style cars, but there are plenty that do.

But that engine....!!!!

It just ooozes "TERMINATOR"..... Black and stainless. Who would have thought it could look so good on a shark engine. Did you do any HP enhancing mods to the engine internals, or was it strictly cosmetic/reliablity?

Wow! That came out awesome! Great work.

I guess you finally got the renovations done on your house and got back to finishing the car. 3 years is a long time.

Congratulations, I think it looks perfect!

I'd love to see pics of the interior as well, I think you were fabbing up a rear sub/amp deck for it too, weren't you? (I took some ideas from you when I saw it last) Love the true ram air setup. EDIT: Just saw that you have an interior thread going too. Heading over to check it out...

That is one hot car, I really love it.

BTW- We're having a GTG in June out here (really a dyno day), but even if you're not up for dyno-ing maybe you can head on out the PA turnpike to 195 to Lakewood NJ in a couple of weeks to show it off. I'd love to see it in person. Send me a PM for details or look up the dyno day in June that Tony (Toofast928) posted a week or two.

Mike Frye: I would love to have it dyno'd just to see where the hp is at. I did not do any internal engine mods just the headers 3" exaust and a 40 series flowmaster...It's a little loud. I still have a CIS issue to work out giving me poor fuel delivery to one cylinder. Once that is straightened out we should be good to go ! I will shoot you a PM
