The side skirts are a one off as well as the spoiler and hood duct. I did use an inner core piece from another car to support the glass as they were formed on the car. They are also not molded into the origonal body. They are bolt on pieces in case they are damaged they can be repaired and finished off the car.

Wow. Normally I don't care for these types of 928 mods, but yours inside and out look good. Would love to see it in person. Only question I have is the shifter handle position - looks backwards? (see pic in other thread).
As to rear s4 spoiler, I usually agree that I don't like it on the OB style, but in this case it seems neccessary. The other trim is heavier, so the duck tail would look too small IMHO. The s4 really balances out the appearance of the other body mods.

The car sits too high....needs to be lowered. Great job and many many hours to get it done.

Aero Mirrors would complete the look IMO. Very Nice!

Car looks amazing...I was thinking of installing an S4 rear spoiler on my 81 928 S and wondered whats involved besides removing the existing tail spoiler and side spoilers and drilling 2 holes on either side of the tail. Do I need any moldings, trim, etc...

It is a little involved and does require some body work and probable best to do when concidering a repaint. Once you remove the rear "s" spoiler there is 2 metal "L" brackets that are attached to the rear qtr just under the base of the glass. The holes will need to be filled as well as dealing with the rust that has formed under the old spoiler. The rear qtr windows will need new lower trim that goes from the front upper bend to the lower rear bend. The rear hatch glass trim also needs updating but the mounting holes are the same as the origonal trim. As for drilling the hatch the best coase is to make a template for the base of the "S4" spoiler so you can have it centered propperly. You may also have to slightly modify the metal inderneath the lip of the hatch structure to allow for the head of the bolts.

For continuity sake. Here is the progress thread with some interrim work shown.

I can attest to the fact that this is not just eye candy either. I was there to pick up some of the stock parts that were cluttering up his incredible shop and saw the level of workmanship involved. He had the rear trans crossmember sent out to be cleaned and powdercoated along with all of the suspension parts. Just about every bolt was removed, cleaned and either replaced or upgraded to meet his vision. This is a labor of love by a visionary.
