that is what has been running in my competition's S2000 for a few years now.

I would think the CV joints would just snap eventually!

He meant if you put that 320lb.ft torque in at 2,000RPM...

Oh, I get it.

But still, that wouldnt make a difference. 2000rpm or 7000rpm. 320ft-lbs is 320ft-lbs at the input shaft to the transmission.

I drove an S2000. I even drove it in an aggressive manner. Every day I had it. The rear ends are made of glass, and the transmission is.... finicky when pushed.

Honestly, the power out of the 2L *or 2.2* is not all that wonderful underboost, when you know that Mitsu owners are slapping on bigger turbos and getting 500Awhp with about the same amount of torque.

But back to the 928 - The transmission breaks from a design flaw, which, as I understand it, relates to heat and the expansion of the case.

While searching for LQ4 iron block info on my truck, I found a website that showed pictures of a corvette trans that had a VERY serious looking Case-support for the entire trans.
