Our local city Spruce Pine voted in beer, wine, and liquor sales a few months ago, we are no longer a dry city!

No more long trips to get beer for our traditional Saturday night party at my house. There is a store less than a 1/2 mile away that is fully stocked!!!

I told Olson that his bribes to the Council would pay off!

Whoo Hooo! Let's just hope they know how to add.

At the beer store just outside Banner ELk, we bought 2-six packs of heiniken for Z and 2-six packs of something else. They were priced a little different.

When we brought them up to the counter, the guy, we'll call him Daryl, looked at me, or was it Tim Murphy, actually one eye was looking at me and the other was looking at Tim. Daryl scratched his head, and said, "I guess I'll just charge you for a case!"

He shoulda told ya you shouldn't mix drinks like that.
Get Buds and stick to Buds.

You know the supermarket up the hill from Best Western sells alcohol.
They had Landshark ale last year.

Ahhh yes, SITM is filled with fun experiences and stories like this.

Did I ever tell the one about me and Tony getting pulled over on the way back from DR's? Or the time that Greg Shickle and I got pulled over at 2AM and he had to do a sobriety test?

You too can have a weekend filled with enjoyable memories from SITM, but you have to go there to get them.

I've previously suggested to DR that he present an annual Wing Nut Award to the 928'er who displays the most impressive lapse in judgement during the event weekend.

There have been some in past years that would have won that hands-down.

Hmmmm, I wonder if bending 2 wheels at once is good enough to put someone in the running for that award :-)

Ha, Ha, I couldn't resist. Ironically I did the same thing decades ago, but I was asleep while "driving" and they were 15" steel wheels :-)

Actually someone we won't name beating them with a sledge hammer to try and straighten them would probably be higher up on the list.... :-)

See ya soon,

Bangin' on Steel Wheels. Is that like Bangin' on Steel Drums.
I love Steel Drums.

Did I mention my Dad was pretty insightful??

See ya soon,
Um, yeah -- that maneuver is definitely higher up the food chain! (There's just so many emoticons with hammers, you know!)

Soon, indeed!
