Default New PKlamp & Hatch Receiver Insert from 928sRus

I am pleased to announce two new products to the 928 World.

The new PKlamp - this is the easy fit - peace of mind solution for the nagging Flex Plate TBF issues on the 85 to 95 Auto cars.

Thanks to PorKen I am able to offer the new clamp for sale at $85.
As you can see the clamp is fitted in front of the existing clamp and adds considerable additional clamping force.
In tests we have seen no movement of the flex plate at all.
We will be adding these to a number of cars and watching the results carefully.

This can be fitted by just removing the lower bellhousing. If you do not have an X pipe you will also have to drop the front part of the exhaust system to access the bellhousing bolts.

This is not meant to replace the "Super Clamp" which is the ultimate fix. This is more for the owner who wants "peace of mind" without having to complete major surgery to do so.

Ready for shipping in two to three weeks.

The new inserts for the Lower Rear Hatch release are also ready for trial fitment. This needs no explanation at all as it has been a needed product for years.
Again ready to ship in a couple of weeks and $37.50 each

Thanks for looking

I've been needing a rear hatch insert for a while. Glad to finally see one on the market. How is
it held in place? My old one would stick to the hatch latch, then get chewed up more if I didn't
notice and tried to close it. Thanks.

That clamp looks brilliant.

No need to drop the trans and pull the torque tube to install it!

Is there something special about that clamp?Because it looks like a shaft clamp from McMaster Carr and they get $13.95 for them.
I like the receiver insert, a much needed part for along time!

Funny Roger... you read my mind after my insert just shattered completely this morning on me. Not even superglue is holding it together. Let me know when you get them in. I need brake pads and sensors first.

Ed,
The initial idea is based around a shaft clamp of course but we could not find anything beefy enough.
That's when we started machining them to the actual size we need.
We also added the larger sized socket headed Bolts for the production items.
Roger
PS: I wish they were only $13 each.

Bah, I opened this thread and was disappointed!

I thought maybe the PKLamp was a lighting solution, possibly for that godawful light under the hood

Instead it turns out to be some rogerbox fix, and an electric pink hatch receiver for mary K cars!

Seriously tho', very nice effort and hats off to all who made this happen. I know there's been talk on several fronts about a run of hatch receivers (I know of at least 3 efforts that were underway concurrently to mass-produce them). Good to see one of them make it to market!

Good work!
