Roger - Great products. I think I need a hatch receiver insert. My car is in the paint shop and it is being torn down and prepped for a complete respray to include removal and disassembly of the doors, hatch, hood, front/rear bumpers, etc. Though a noob 28 (why do we always put the '9' in from of Porsches as they all begin with that number) owner and Rennlister, I have read enought to know the hatch receiver is in demand. Though I can't get to my car to confirm it's necessity, I am going to order one anyway as I suspect the paint shop will need one for reassembly.
How can I place an order?
thanks,
Dan

Got it! Thanks Ben.
Boeing is a good example. They internally refer to their commercial aircraft (7xx) by the last 2 digits. 19, 07, 17, 27, 37, 47, 67, 77, 87, .... Though they do have some older aircraft with different, numbering schemes.... sort of like the 356 and 550. Not many of those compared to the 9 series.

The clamp is exactly as per Ken's drawing so will be balanced.
Decided to go with SS as well instead of Zinc plated.

Why do we always put the '9' in from of Porsches as they all begin with that number?
Simple: After the 356 Porsche was looking for a new model number. The only number available that did not interfere with part and model numbers of AUDI and VW were numbers starting with a 9. Parts distribution and service was done at AUDI and VW dealers up to the late 80's.

Roger, please can you post your announcement on the UK email list, as we need to know the international shipping costs so we can start placing orders.
Thanks for persevering with the product development, this is very good news.

What type of material are the hatch pieces made from? Are they stiff or pliable? Mine is pliable but it is also crubley. I wonder what it felt like when new. Any idea when these will be available?
Has anyone told that other guy that was going to make these to not bother? Sorry, I forget his name. I think it was CPR Racing or something. Now I guess he can focus on the splitter idea.

Roger - are the new replacement hatch receiver inserts made ou tof the same material as the original, or is it made out of something more substantial that won't distort? May make the differencer between ordering one or three (for backup).

The material is similar in apearance to the original but a current pliable plastic that will resist the effects of ozone and vibration.

Nice work!!
I've said for a long time to use a second clamp but somehow no one heard it. Nice that someone finally had the very simmilar idea and actually put it into production. Well done guys!
