Default Spider Intake silicone coupler...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...4506.m20.l1116

I find it quite expensive... But I'm not pro in judging price.

So? Is it ok or super expensive?
If so, where should I seek silicone coupler of that size?

Ungodly expensive. You can get red silicone hose in 3' lengths for about $35. Cut to size and get some new shiny hose clamps. That's what I did a couple years ago.

I recently did what everyone is recommending and bought a 3' length of 48mm red silicone hose, and also a 3" piece of 90mm for between the plenum and TB.
They came from 'autoperformanceonline' ebay seller... probably not much good if you're in the states, but if you're in Europe, I can send you my leftovers (should be enough to easily do another car) for cheap.

Also cheaper here;

But not as cheap as a 3' length of 48mm red silicone hose, and also a 3" piece of 90mm for between the plenum and TB.

You also also should replace that short hose that goes from the plenum to the Brake Booster?

What is the best way to cut those 48mm size hoses? a razor knife?

Anyone know a good source for this hose on this side of the pond?

Yes, thats who gave me my idea for just using a full length cut down. I asked him about them while picking up my replacement engine. I initially didn't buy his kit because it was only available in blue, and I wanted red.

I cut the hose down by 'strangling' the pipe with a hose clip, and using that as a guide to cut with a utility knife. This did leave a section that was not cut quite true, where the worm drive is in the hose clip, but I simply put this section to the underneath away from view.

I did also change the small section between the plenum and brake booster 'Y'. Will take some pics later.

Cheers.

US website use inches... 42mm... That's what?

(41mm = 1 5/8 & 90mm = 3 1/2 ?)

BTW, thanks a lot for the offer... but I want them black.

P.S.: Nobody sells radiators silicone hose for 928? I see many molded for specific car... like civic... But nothing for 928.

On my Euro car they are 48mm for the spider and 90mm for the plenum to TB. I think its 1 7/8 and 3 9/16 in imperial if such hose sizes exist.

Looks line silicon intakes has 1.75 and 2.0 inch diameter tubes. 48mm is 1.89. So we are looking at .11 too big or 0.15 too small. Could be a pain, either way. I would guess the 1.75 would the better choice, but I wonder what others have done.
