Default Wheels

I just love to look of these wheels.

Aren't the offsets too small for my GTS at 8.5 x 18 et 46 and 10 x 18 et 40

It seems that the front ETs should be around 60-65mm to fit right with an 8.5" width. ET46 will probably stick out too far.

Yep, quite attractive. Those bolts are gonna be hard to keep clean though...

FWIW I looked into having some material ground off the back of some wheels to increase the offset. Every wheel I measured had less than 1/2" of material between the lug face and the hub. Not enough to grind down.

et46? Too low IMO. The 928 was designed for et65 or so, anything less you change the ackerman effect on your steering. I still cannot believe the difference in steering feel when I switched from et50 to et57 up front.

they are going to stick out about 1" if you spring the car REAL stiff, and raise it up, you might be able to get away with it.......nahhhhhh

Backs will work, fronts won't. The offsets are common for turbo body 911.

Here is a link to a great little tool I use to calculate offsets and clearance when changing wheel sizes. You and others may already use it but thought I'd post anyway for those who do not.

http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

BTW - love the looks of the wheel and I think it will look stunning on your Iris car.
Any photoshop experts out there who could insert them onto a pic of an Iris Blue car?

Please don't photoshop em! The only way to get a set with the offsets for a 928 GTS would be to get them directly from Gemballa for about $5000. So, please nooooo. For now I can just keep watching ebay to see if a set comes up at some kind of a reasonable price.
