Most alternator shops can get a rebuild kit for the one you have to go higher. I went 190a for about $250. You can also hunt down a smaller pulley to get better performace at idle. Generally the higher the output, the worse idle performance. Mine won't self excite until after 1500rpms. You know real wuick if your exciter wire is bad.
Why do you need to replace it. Broken or just need more power?

I have a good one that i can get fitted with a new rotor (it had a broken connection on the rotor, but all the rotors are the same and I can just have it replaced and tested as good as new.. it would be perfect then.
$125 takes it.

You have to know if you need higher output at high rpm or higher output at idle rpm - these are quite different goals.
If your current alternator is problematic - is that because its faulty? or because its stock outout spec is now inadequate because you need much more?
If your current alternator is faulty have it repaired/replaced wth stock and you should be good.
There are minor parts swaps/updates to the original that can get you small boosts to output current (possibly including a smaller pulley for higher idle alternator rpm).
Otherwise high output alternators will never be cheap anyway - but especially by the time you have adapted them (brackets, pulleys and wiring harness) and may not get you any more idle current...
Be careful you may end up with something that is only better in a mode you really don't care about and is actually worse for the operating mode you care about the most.
