Default "S" Rear Spoiler (Can it be repaired?)

The Snot Rod has a chunk missing out of the rear spoiler, otherwise it is in great shape. I was wondering if it can be repaired. I did a search and didn't find anything.

PEpBoys sells black epoxy bumper mend. Worked well on my front bumper. Perhaps a small bit snmoothed in would look okay?

Daughter wants to loose the spoilers on the 78. Let me see if it's in better shape.

Other than that chunk the rear spoiler is in great shape, the front is in unknown condition and whereabouts. Mike I will check PepBoys in the morning. Thanks.

Hi,

If the question is "can it be repair properly?", the response is, for sure, NO. As I understand, the rear spoiler is made with a sort of silicon foam. So why not use black silicon such as "rubson"?

Default S spoiler

I agree with the above. The question is how much are you willing to experiment? And how much less than "proper" are you willing to accept? There is a black silicon sealant in a tube that would fill in, but uncovered it dries glossy. You might be able to add something to it, like alcohol ?? to make it flat. Sometimes those adventures are fun and have value for other applications, but I doubt it in this case. Being in Fla, there ought to be a salvaged one around.

Roger at 928sRUS has some used that are in decent shape. Give him a call, I don't think they're too much. 817-430-2688
