So my friend Mark K. says no not a chance, then Rick says yes and here is a pick to prove it. I guess I will buy them and rap them with the finest tires and try it. Maybe I will have to set them in the garage after, or maybe people will say "Whoa cool, man you got some fat *** front tires!"

did you see the pic? It would work, if you dont mind the tire sticking out further than the fender.

It works if your car has a pretty high ride hight, and the springs are stiff enough to keep the fender off the tire.

I have stock ride height and Bilstein springs, Eibach dampers. A point I made in the thread where I posted pics is that whenever you are turning, the wheel extends past the fender.

I just put those on the back of my 86.5 and they rubbed, so I used a baseball bat to roll the fenders out, no more rub. I'll post pics later today after a wash.

What's up big Kev?

They will rub with the stock spacers, I have a set of rear spacers with 1/4" machined off, (idea borrowed from Kibort).

Here you go buddy, this is easier than welding the front fenders onto the rear ones...

It makes me think of the other other fender flares...you know the ones Kev...the OEM ones on the widow maker.

p.s.

Moving shop next week, Penndel , Pa on business route 1. need more room.... My visit to you may or may not happen this week, not looking too good now. But I'm always working, so who knows! Maybe I'll come down south with you in June, I wouldn't want to miss anything important, lol.

How big has anyone gone on the rear with an 11" rim and say et67mm? Acourding to Tirerack they have a couple 335s that will fit an 11" rim. Will they fit with a fender roll or will I need to make flares? It's a Euro S with out spacers.

I'm looking at a cheap set of knock offs with an 8" et57 front and 11" et67 rear.

Ive done it and it is REAL tight. the temperature of the air would shrink my fenders and they would rub. pulling them by hand and it was a buisness card clearance. that was with 17mm spacers too. (335 30 18 toyos) without the spacers, you rubbed on the lower control arm and the chassis . (had to pound that out with a 10lb mallet! ) I can still do the 335s, but the side wall is pintched in and the resultant tread width is only 1/4" total in the end. not really worth it. would be 1" larger with a 12" rim.

With the 67 rears you will need spacers as they will touch the suspension. On my 85 I have 11 et 45 on the rear and I have about 3/8" clearance to the lower suspension arm.

It'll probably work even with 3 to 5 mm spacer.
Test-fitted some 18x11 ET65 rims on friend's '89 GT with 1mm spacer and it was really close, but didnt touch the arm. Might hit the upper inside part of wheel well with tire tho.
