I don't believe anyone over 30 should use the word schizzle in regular conversation... I could be wrong... But I don't think so. You won't find any oil retaining gaskets made of cork on the space shuttle, and it was designed about the same time...

Sterling... Are those Cayanne wheels??? Just joshin'!! It looks like a stinkin' Hot Wheels limited edition! Now it just needs blue and yellow flames down the side and over the hood...

Are you fo' shizzle?

Re OPG, mine was recently replaced with a new cork OPG, by the PO. So I didn't replace it when I did the MM's. Wrong choice.

Just go with the silicone gasket.

Silicon. I've put in 3 so far and expect them to last quite a while. Occasional re-snugging might be appropriate. You might consider the stud kit as well and use loctite on the studs and nylocs, counterholding the studs with an allen wrench (if you get the set with allen wrench end)..

Wasn't it a failed silicon o-ring in the solid rocket booster that caused the Challenger to explode? Might want to use a different comparison

Actually, it was a butyl rubber o-ring on the space shuttle booster. And it failed because butyl cannot expand properly at -32 deg. f. Fortunately for us, we don't have the same seals sealing our fuel lines... (though our lines are notorious for drying out and cracking, causing lesser catastrophy at much lower altitude and speed...) Silicone pan gaskets would have been better period engineering for the 928... But alas, now silicone is the ****...

Heres to innovation!!!!
