How many do you need to commit..and how much are we talking $$$$ (ballpark of course). That'll help get some of the folks to speak up..

OK, I've forwarded the link to this thread off to him, and will see what he has to say about the 3 custom parts -- I'll look into the common hardware. Not sure when I'll have an answer, probably at least a couple of days because he has client work/deadlines. To be fair to him I don't want to speculate on the price, but I'm sure it would cost far less than a C&R radiator.

That's a great looking piece Dave.

At $25 I might order three. At $100 ea. I might not want any.

Charley, based on past experience with costs of machine work, I'm pretty sure it will come in between those costs for the whole enchilada, obviously just the fitting will be less. For 3 cars you would want no more than one pressure test setup.

Default possible solution

Our latest radiators come with this fitting now. It is NPT thread so it will not work on the previous versions

Well, I guess that means you won't be needing anything like this fitting for new radiators.

Any idea how many you sold with the old style bung?

Dave,

I'm interested in the assembly as shown.

Nice work. Porsche should have done this, instead of using a formed hose.

Thanks for the info, Mark. David, was there a particular reason you didn't tighten the fitting a few more degrees to clean up the hose routing? Was there a clearance issue?

My curved new blue fitting still hits the hood, it is basically a zero clearance part. The rad is as low as it can go, so maybe I have something else wrong in my setup.

My replacement rad, built same as original, seemed to measure up same, but I had to exert a LOT of pressure on hood to latch it, making me uncomfortable with load on radiator itself. I had new support rubbers at the bottom, but even with the old flatter ones back in place it was higher than I liked. I found the vertical alloy part that the shroud/air intakes bolted to was a few mm higher than original,so I did some remedial work there until everything was as low as it can go - sitting on the top strap over the core. Hood is still tight, but better than it was.

Dave, count me in for just the bolt and banjo fitting. I am experiencing this very problem and am worried about damaging the hose, not to mention the damage being done to the hood where it is in contact with it. I'd like one ASAP, pm me if necessary.

Fraggle, Does your shroud fit too snug maybe? See if the hood is bowed in that area.

Bill, gotcha. If you are in need of a temporary replacement, I still have the piece I grafted in(It's at the link I posted in the OP). I can send it to you if you need something to tide you over.
