Great job Roger! One question though, they mentioned that the belt will be noisier? Isn't noise a function of the gear teeth contacting the belt? In that case, wouldn't that mean that the gears would wear faster?

That is a darn good question...interesting idea to ponder on.
From the movie Fifth Element..
President Lindberg: Steadert.
General Staedert: Yes Sir!
President Lindberg: I have a doubt.
General Staedert: I don't, Mr. President. (Fires Missles and then "Mr Shadow" blows up his ship..BOOM)

Corbin Corbin Corbin Corbin what do you have to say.
Oh. (something like that)
Ha ha.
DR caused the racing belt thread to slip off the tensioner roller.
So with a less stretchee belt, what's the retension belt interval.
And will it play nice with the stock tensioner system.
And what will the careless mechanic do to the cam gear surfaces if he/she overtightens a racing belt.

Same as always. Check the belt ~2000 miles or 6 months after you put it on and then check it yearly (the latter is my spec.)
Same as ever. Over tighten the belt and you'll wear off the coating. Wear-off the coating and eventually it'll eat the belt regardless of what the belt's made of.

David: They really made her...
Priest Vito Cornelius: Perfect. I know.
If the blue belt is less stretchy, it should keep the cams in time better at high rpm (especially with a PKsn'r
), and should make them easier to set up. When adjusting the timing with the 32V'r using a black belt, there's enough stretch to get up to 2° error when wrenching on the cam bolt (action/reaction), so you have to always spin the engine to settle it.

For me, the check and replacement interval would be more or less the same. 60k miles or 6 to 10 years with yearly checks.
The belt isn't what needs replacement. It's the bushings, rollers, etc. Now, if you are using the Por'Tensioner <sic?> then the weak spots will be the water pump and the gears. Belt system still needs to be checked every year though.
