I have heard brake fluid eats paint. Didn't know Berryman's also consumes paint.
The Nitrogenous compound is probably 'proprietary.' Corporate speak as in we did something we don't want other chem geeks to find out about unless they want to reverse engineer the molecule.

Ammonia (NH3) is regularly added to exhaust streams at stationary sources to help catlyze NOx. Diesel exhaust is a chore because of all the particulates that like to foul most NOx catalysts. Of course you want to cool the exhaust a bit before you filter the particulates out, and that makes the catalysts less efficient. There's no real easy one-size-fitzall answer. Electronic direct-injection technology has been a giant leap forward in both combustion efficiency and exhaust quality.

Direct injection is one of the main reasons, according to the brochure and a couple of videos I've seen, that a new additive was needed. The additive needed to be able to withstand more heat. With DI it's being injected directly into the a much hotter environment (the combustion chamber) and appearantly the older additives lost their cleaning ability in this heat.
