Colin,
Glad to hear it. Constantine's clamp looks great and apparently does what its suppose to but its a BIG job to install. I wish it were is two parts so it could be mounted by just removing the bottom bell housing.

Dean, that and the origonal price where the 2 things that prevented me from getting one.

The one I am working on should be ALOT simpler to install.

Hi Dean,

We looked at different ways to attack the drive shaft creep. The original clamp being in the way really prevents one from devising a two part device to totally replace the old clamp.

The clamp Porken fitted was reviewed as a possibility but we decided against it and concentrated on a complete re-design of the OE clamp.

We have also reduced the price to $395.00 currently and it will be offered in package deals with our TT rebuild parts. Compared to the money spent on replacing the engine, it would make sense to install this clamp WYIT doing a TT change.

We still consider this the best solution for that problem.

Now lets go back to celebrating Porken The Inventor!

Cheers,
Constantine

Constantine,
I'm not criticizing your clamp or its design. It a shame its such a big job to install If and I mean IF thats all that needs doing. My TT is fine right now and don't want to go to the trouble of dropping the TT or exhaust just for the clamp. I would love to have insurance against TBF however.
Question....What about unbolting the flex plate from the flywheel and clamp, sliding it out. Loosen the clamp and push to wards the motor. Is there enough room for it to clear the end of the TT? IF there is then a new clamp could be mounted in reverse. How much room is there behind the flex plate???

Since we have already veered off the original topic -

I too always thought that the guy's name was 'Brad' until my sister in the movie biz sent me a signed original Pulp Fiction script.

It's actually 'Brett':

Jules: Check out the big brain on Brett! You're a smart mother****er, that's right! The metric system.

http://www.moviesoundscentral.com/so...n/bigbrain.wav

Jules: Describe what Marcellus Wallace looks like!
Brett: What, I-?
Jules: [pointing his gun] Say what again. SAY WHAT AGAIN. I dare you, I double dare you, mother****er. Say what one more goddamn time.
Brett: He's b-b-black...
Jules: Go on.
Brett: He's bald...
Jules: Does he look like a bitch?
Brett: What?
[Jules shoots Brett in shoulder]
Jules: DOES HE LOOK LIKE A BITCH?
Brett: No!
Jules: Then why you try to **** him like a bitch, Brett?
Brett: I didn't.
Jules: Yes you did. Yes you did, Brett. You tried to **** him. And Marcellus Wallace don't like to be ****ed by anybody, except Mrs. Wallace.
