For his unwavering pursuit of every possible technical improvement and labor saving device for the 928.
In the past 12 months I've bought his lift bars, his EZF'r tuning chip, and his blink'r module that helps adjust the CO level and idle. All are extremely well thought out, well designed and well made, and all filled a need that wasn't addressed anywhere else for the 928 (or were much more complicated/expensive). I've read about (and will be using tomorrow morning) his 32v'r cam timing tool.
And I plan at some point to install one of his Porkensioners that have probably removed the biggest potential for catastrophe (with the possible exception of the 'Constantine clamp') from owning a 32v 928.
His threads in the past have delved into:
>Exploration of the cooling/re-routing of air into the intake,
>Smoothing of the casting marks/lines of the intake
>Tuning the chips
>Setting cam timing
>An automatic tensioner (de-tensioner) that eliminates the need to check/adjust belt tension
>Removal/modification of the PCV system
>Alternate oil pump systems/designs
>Exhaust system modifications
He's developed products and produced them for others and I'm sure he's not even breaking even after all of his time and effort. And these are just the things I can think of off the top of my head.
I'd like to nominate Porken for the Official Rennlist Inventor's Award. I think he should bear a title as well, something like 'Herr Brain'
.
What say you?

Although I never purchased any products from Porken, I'm truely amazed how he comes up with product after product and his pursuit of pefection tuning.
I say give him top honours with a few other members.

He has a tuning chip???? How did I miss this?
I only wished my mind worked like his. I use his lift bars and my cars all have his tensioner.
IDEA!!! Ken...how about a TT clamp that works right and can be installed WITHOUT moving or dropping the TT, exhaust ect...Maybe in two parts.

I'm glad there is somebody out in 928 land that has focused on the 85-86 cars. I've have almost all of his cool line of Porken products and highly recommend them not just for the benefit of the product itself at prices that are more than fair but also for keeping a guy like Ken working on new products. Great thinking Dean on the clamp!

Actually this board, Constantine, Porken, Alan, Mr. Merlin, and others that slip my mind as well as the excellent vendors that make owning and maintaining my 928 sooooooooo much easier. Having these resources is truly priceless!

Ken has had the title 'Inventor' for a few years now.
