I've got an old dead one. You lookin' for a working one for the HW car?
Does Carchick know you posted this?

I bought one over the summer which is working great but since these things are notorious for breaking I thought a spare wouldn't be a bad idea. I also have a dead one that will play the radio only.

Wink Any Price

Well, I won't trade a kidney for one ...maybe. It would be the ultimate 928, kinda like dating Marissa Miller or Winning the Publisher's Clearing House, I will also throw in my 88 S4 and my Volvo 850 Turbo..and a hot tub..delivered..and towels and bubbles

Throw in Marissa Miller and I think we can deal.

You shouldn't be able to "touch reverse" going from 1st to 2nd as there should be a reverse lock out......

Which is very likely dead in most '82-95 MY 5sp 928 which haven't had their gearbox rebuild during past 5-10 years. Lock out works fine even when flat spring is broken when car is standing still but it can fail while on the move.

I was close, but I would have lost the bet.

Someone bought a nice car at a great price.

Ain't it the truth. Which finally put a driveable one just within our reach.

Fabulous buyer's market right now, really bad seller's market. Sad but true.

But eventually it will be the reverse again, I'm sure. Just gotta hang in there...

Lightbulb GT 90

Well now...you see I have now learned something new about my " at any price" GTS ..I now know that there is a lockout between 1st and 2nd on the up shift around reverse. Before I let them take out that kidney< I will check to see that I cannot touch reverse on the way to 2nd! I am glad Matt was able to sell his GT and just by meeting him I could tell that he denied the higher offer due to being unsure about the bidder or had decided that the other would be a better home for the GT90. Good luck to all...the Hot Tub offer still stands
