1. Filler neck changed to plastic version
2. Intake casting changed
3. Squirters removed

But I wouldn't bet above to be absolutely correct.

3 offers so far, 2 declined, 1 pending. We'll see... Not by me.

So I would win if it goes out at any value above or below the BIN price? I'll take that

This car's missing the jump post cover, it's got non-Beru replacement plug wires, so it hasn't had meticulous OCD maintenance.

On the other hand, the filler neck's new and all the plating appears to be in good shape indicating that the car hasn't seen as many heat/moisture cycles as the typical 100k mile 19-year old car. I'd bet that the wiring harnesses are still flexible.

The intake and CC coating appear to be original. My guess would be that this car will need the full-rubber replacement on top of the motor within the next 5 years (that is unless the WOT/idle switch is broken now.) There's some evidence that some of the typical stuff needed at this age has been done. (Clutch, LH, etc.)

Still, the BIN price isn't too over-optimistic. If the paint and the interior are in very good condition then this car could be purchased at or near this price and in a few years put into "Worf's class 2-ish condition" while keeping the total bill under $30k. IMO and PPI required of course.

On the other hand, these are not the market conditions for getting the best price on an old supercar.

Question MY90 GT

I am seriously thinking about going up and looking at this GT. I am really close by and as I mentioned in Feb at Mike's, I am subliminally always looking for a 5 speed. What do you think about all of this, Jim ?

Go look, and test drive. If you don't buy, let us know your impressions. Nice color combo, good miles, price seems fair to me.

Kevin,
I think it looks fantastic on paper! Some big ticket items have been taken care of.... TB/WP, clutch, windsheild, AC comp, LH brain.
Even with a good maintanence rap-sheet, it could still need alot more work. Don't forget about that when you go and look at that sexy thing. It will wooo you in and you'll be asking yourself, "PPI what?"

The YM, 5speed, and color combo will keep this one well sought after long beyond this recession. Call me if you want to talk about it further. 804-349-1035

Jim, I just got back from Fairfax Co and was able to drive the 90 GT..loved it !! I even slightly touched into reverse on my way to 2nd and Matt was very patient..says it does take a little practice. His family has dtermined that the only way he could get his Tiptronic C4 was to dump the leased Audi and sell the GT 90. I have been thinking the only way in this economy I could pull this off would be to offer my 88 S4 AT Guards Red, black int w/ 91k for $8500-$9000 to the world to have enough to get the GT. I know that is crazed... Oh yeah, BeerFish is gonna lose the wager cuz someone named Ryan in CA has offered $14,000 for it sight unseen. I am not REALLY IN LOVE with the Blue color and do not like the basically white interior. My search continues..not going anywhere yet...DREAM CAR ??? 93-95 Iris Blue GTS at nearly any price. Hear that RKD in OKC ?? Thanks again to Matt for letting me take his valuable Sat. and letting me drive his car . Loved it just not for me, Kevin Sorry, Worf928 that was your wager with Marine Blue

Thumbs up GT 90

Matt bought it at 87k in Utah from a dealer and drove it home! About 2.5 years ago and has had ALL the work done at HBL Porsche and at Charlies shop maybe a little cosmetics but indeed a lot of the major stuff has been done professionally. Not a stroker and engine totally redone long ago.

Kevin,
Good story. Big thumbs up... just not for you. Your's is really nice and will treat you well 'til the Iris Blue GTS comes along.

I bet Ryan Perrella from CA is the one who made the offer.

If anyone here does buy it and doesn't want the CD Player let me know, I'd like to buy it.

If someone buys the car and plans on keeping the CD Player let me know, I have a spare black plastic trim which fits around the player. Would be happy to send it to the new owner.
